Why You Should Try The Hill

If you had told Ms. Nan or Mr. Ray five years ago the demand for their handmade soaps, lotions and body products would have grown into more than just an enjoyable way to pass the long southern Illinois winters, both would have answered, “yeah, sure.”

Well, we have grown and are very proud of our products as well as our growing customer base, all calling for more natural products made with peace love and harmony.

You can look for us at a number of local fall festivals and holiday craft shows. Those shows include Evansville, Mt. Vernon, and New Harmony, Indiana as well as Carmi, Illinois where you will find us at the annual Corn Day festival and Carmi Chamber of Commerce Holiday Craft Bazaar.

Our production has moved into the Soap Shack, where we offer retail sales. While we are “in the country” most days the drive is pleasant and offers scenic landscapes with an opportunity to view the beautiful wildlife.

Next time you’re in the neighborhood, stop in, it’s okay if you don’t buy, just say hi and we’ll be happy to see you. We will always wish you peace, love and harmony. Nuff said.

~ Nancy and Ray

Being a hippie is not a matter of dress or behavior, it is a philosophical approach to life that emphasizes freedom, peace, love and harmony; and respect for Mother Earth. The way of the hippie never died. There have always been hippies from Henry David Thoreau to John Lennon to you and me. I believe there is a little hippie in all of us.
